End Goal

What is the end goal for the portraits we are going to capture? Is there a specific place in your home you are looking to display them? Are you looking to tell a specific story? Before the camera is ever picked up, Becky will discuss what your end goal for the images is. Your needs and concerns will guide your one-on-one consultation. Your every question will also be answered during the consultation.

  • What types of clothing look best?

  • Most suitable areas of your home for displaying your portraits.

  • Can Fido also be part of our portraits? (Spoiler: of course!)

ShoOt Day

If you’ve had your family photographed in the past, you might remember that it can be quite frazzling. The kids refused to nap and are crazy or grumpy, Dad isn't exactly gung-ho about the whole idea and you have agonized for weeks about the perfect outfits for everyone. Not to worry. As a parent of three girls (fourteen, eleven and six), Becky is no stranger with all types of kid shenanigans at every age and stage. If you can get them dressed and out the door, she will handle the rest. We'll play games together, giggle at silly words and noises, and even catch dad grinning. We focus the portrait experience around just that, an amazing experience. We pride ourselves on exceptional customer service and a commitment to each family’s relationship and the creation of heirloom art for their home.

view and order

Approximately two weeks after your shoot, Becky will come to your home for your View and Order appointment. Your View and Order appointment is the time set aside to finalize your portrait order.

Our team will guide you every step of the way using your goals from the consultation to achieve your vision for your family portraits and decide which prints and products best meet your needs.

About 3-4 weeks later, your art piece will be ready for pick up. We’ll call or email you to let you know it’s here and make arrangements for you to take home the final result. If you need help with installation, we will gladly provide someone who can help. Once those portraits are hanging, you can sit back and take credit for creating those beautiful humans that are your children and enjoy seeing the people you love on the walls of your home every day.

Long Term plan

Our families often come to us year after year so our portraits and collections are designed to look good now and be able to move throughout your home as we add to your family art collection over time. As your children grow and change, it will be time to update your portraits. So right from the start we plan, knowing that more may come and we design around that. The next time you work with us, we’ll create art that coordinates with sessions past, so you can build on to what we’ve already created for you in a way that works and delights you year after year.
